Data Protection

On 25 May 2018 new laws on data protection came into force - The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - a new Europe-wide law and the 2018 UK Data Protection Act.

These two pieces of legislation set out how organisations will need to handle personal data to enhance the rights of, and give more control to, the people whose data is held.

Our Data Protection Policy explains how we ensure that the Personal Data we collect is processed correctly and securely, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other related legislation. It will apply to information regardless of the way it is collected, used, recorded, stored and destroyed, and irrespective of whether it is held in paper files or electronically.

If you feel that Data Cymru have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain. Please see our Complaints Policy for further information.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
